Why we love lavender
We have to admit to being lavender fans at Equimins. Not only does lavender have a lovely smell, but it also has natural antiseptic properties, can help to repel flies and insects and can help to calm and relax!
The lavender plant is a common sight in many gardens across the UK. It’s easy to grow, has attractive purple flowers and has a great smell. In our products, we use lavender essential oil, which is a concentrated form. We use lavender in the following products…
New Lavender Shampoo – a rich shampoo made with essential oils of lavender. This purple shampoo will leave the horse with a shiny coat, a fresh aroma and will also help to repel annoying insects.
Lavender Fresh Wash – a natural antibacterial wash that helps to refresh, cool and calm. The no-rinse wash contains coconut to remove sweat and dirt and can also be used undiluted to help relieve bruising on legs.
Dark Shampoo – made for horses with black and dark coats, Dark Shampoo is a rich shampoo with conditioner that will help to enhance coat colour and shine. It also contains lavender essential oil.
Red Shampoo – this rich shampoo with conditioner has been created for chestnut coats, to help enhance coat colour and shine. As with Dark Shampoo, it also contains lavender essential oil.
MSM Cream – from our First Aid & Stable range comes MSM Cream. This cream is soothing and antibacterial and can be used to soothe minor skin conditions, to aid the regrowth of hair and as a barrier in muddy conditions. In addition to MSM, it is also contains aloe vera, zinc, castor oil and essential oils, including lavender.
