Oil ‘em up!
Do you add oil to your horse’s feed? Or do you wonder why people do? There are many reasons why people add oil to their horse’s diet – it could be to help support their horse’s joints, to improve coat shine and condition, or to increase the calorie content of the horse’s bucket feed using a source of slow release energy. Whatever the reason, we have a superb range of oils to suit your needs. We’ve put together a quick guide to our oils below but, if you need any extra help, just contact us.
A&R Blend Oil– uses a blend of marine and vegetable oils that are rich in omega 3. This oil helps to maintain mobility and flexibility, and is a popular supplement for older horses.
Cod Liver Oil– contains very digestible sources of vitamins A, D3 and E, is a source of slow release energy and can help to promote good health, a shiny coat and strong bones and hooves.
Glow & Shine Omega Oil– combines linseed oil, soya oil and rapeseed oil to create a blend rich in omega 3, 6 and 9. Not only does this oil provide a source of slow release energy, it also helps maintain a healthy heart, joints, eyes, coat, bones and hooves.
Linseed Oil– helps to enhance the coat, promote good health and support digestion at the same time as providing a source of non-heating energy. Our Linseed Oil is cold pressed.
Soya Oil– our pure virgin soya oil is rich in linoleic acid and helps to improve skin quality at the same time as providing a great source of non-heating energy. Our soya oil is excellent quality and is not highly refined like so many others.
A number of our other supplements, such as Codlivermins, Glow and Shine and Cooked Linseed also contain oil. To find out more, see the website.
