What do you use…Linda Graham?
This month, our ‘what do you use?’ blog comes from Linda Graham. Here, she tells us all about what she uses with her Highland pony Dalesman of Combebank.
“I have had Dalesman of Combebank (Dabs) for four years. He is a Highland pony who was lightly handled when I got him. I initially showed him in-hand as I had stopped riding following spinal surgery ten years ago; consequently he was ridden by my friend. However I started riding again this year (after knee surgery last year) and have since done hacking, dressage, dressage to music, ridden showing, indoor TREC, native pony camp and the pony camp mini ODE. With my friends, he has also done dressage to Novice level, pleasure rides and jumping. He is a lovely pony who has really looked after me and given me lots of confidence … I didn’t think I would ride again following surgery, especially since I will be 60 next year!
“I use Mud Block Lotion, when necessary. The field at our livery yard can get really muddy in the winter and this means he can get a touch of mud fever. I have found Mud Block Lotion really effective and a godsend for a pony with feathers, especially as I show and can’t really clip my pony’s legs. I also use your Stable Fresh and have done so for years, it works really well in combination with our rubber matting.”
